She has completed further horse dentistry training through Equine Veterinary Dental Services. Additionally, she has completed advanced courses in cardiology, dermatology and goat medicine.

Alex is now based in Gunning where, along with her husband & twin toddlers, they breed Bucking Bulls. Alex also has an Italian greyhound, named Jack who you can find constantly sleeping in the sun or his bed, despite all the paddock space he has to run around in.

Dr Eamon Ryan BVSc, BVETbio, MANZCVs

Veterinarian

Eamon grew up in Gundaroo but since graduating from Charles Sturt University in Wagga Wagga he has spent time working in Melbourne, England, Jersey and Hong Kong before recently returning back to Gundaroo. Growing up on a farm, Eamon was always been around animals. When he was 13 his beloved cocker spaniel Sophie died and Eamon wanted to clone her. This desire sparked his interest in veterinary science, unfortunately, he’s not yet been able to fulfil his dream of cloning Sophie but this interest has resulted in him saving the lives of many other pets.

Eamon has completed post graduate qualifications such as his Memberships in small animal surgery and is working towards a Gradate Certificate in small animal orthopedics.

His professional goal is to provide high quality advanced surgery and imaging. Eamon is aware that not everyone can’t afford a specialist referral so is passionate to provide an quality alternative for a range of complex surgeries such as fracture repairs, abdominal surgery, TPLOs, Spinal surgeries, and CT and MRI imaging.

Eamon’s main hobbies outside of work are cycling and running, having competed in the world championship for duathlon. However, since having a baby in November 2021, his rare time off is spent with his family and walking his two Labradors Betty and Peggy.

Dr Bethan Baitson BVetMed MRCVS

Veterinarian

Born and raised in the picturesque Welsh countryside, Beth discovered her passion for animals at a young age. Spending the majority of her time on the family smallholding or at the local riding stables, her childhood was filled with adventures caring for creatures of all shapes and sizes. She first spoke of being a vet at the age of 3, and from age 5 would hear of no other career path.

Driven by her aspirations, Beth pursued her education with unwavering determination. Working various positions in a local mixed practice from the age of 15, she immersed herself in the veterinary world. Beth completed her studies at the Royal Veterinary College in London, where she acquired a solid foundation in veterinary medicine. After returning to Wales, she spent her time working for others and then herself in mixed practice until circumstances changed and she felt a calling to Australia.

Beth has a passion for reproductive medicine and surgery, and a keen interest in microscopy. She is also fascinated by ophthalmology and would like to develop her skills further. She has completed further study in equine dentistry, reproductive ultrasonography and acupuncture.

Beth is now planning to buy a house and import her four cats and three horses, unfortunately leaving four dogs behind in Wales as they are not fit for travel. She currently lives in Braddon with her partner, and together they spend time going for walks as well as exploring the latest computer technology.
